SMM Endowment Fund

The mission of the St. Mary Magdalene Endowment Fund is to provide long-term financial security for the St. Mary Magdalene community and to supplement funding for outreach and special projects of the vestry that further St. Mary Magdalene's core values. An Endowment Committee appointed by the vestry seeks to invest the Fund with the care, skill, prudence, and diligence appropriate under the circumstances then prevailing and in accordance with written Investment Policies. The Investment Policies emphasize long-term growth of capital and a long investment horizon. The Endowment Committee calculates annual distributions from the Fund based on the average market value of the Fund over the previous three years, as stipulated in the St. Mary Magdalene By-Laws.

Some of the ways you can give to the St. Mary Magdalene Endowment Fund are:

• Give a cash gift by visiting our payment portal and selecting “SMM Endowment Fund” in the dropdown menu, or by sending a check to the parish office at 4775 Cambridge St. in Boulder, CO 80301, and noting “SMM Endowment Fund” on the memo line. 

• Make the St. Mary Magdalene Endowment Fund a beneficiary of your will or trust. We would appreciate a letter stating you have done this.

• Make the St. Mary Magdalene Endowment Fund a beneficiary of a life insurance policy, savings account, retirement account, etc. We would appreciate a letter stating you have done this.

• Give stocks or bonds through the Colorado Episcopal Foundation. Contact www.coef.org to help you facilitate the transaction. 

• Make a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) from your RMD to the St.Mary Magdalene Endowment Fund. Check with your tax or financial advisor.
