Children, Youth and Families Ministry

At St. Mary Magdalene we welcome children and youth of all ages for worship, as well as welcome them to be members of the church. Sharing our worship with children and youth strengthens all of our relationships with God. Contact Sue Crowley, Children, Youth, and Families Missioner, for more information.

Nursery

The nursery is available with trained staff to care for your infant or young child during the 10am Sunday service (9am in the summer). Parents may take children to the nursery any time before or during the service as needed. During other services, parents are also welcome to use the nursery.

Godly Play

We offer Godly Play as an introduction to faith for children aged pre-K through grade 5. During the 10am Sunday service (9am in the summer), children will head to their classroom after the Children's Homily in the sanctuary. A staff of trained volunteers will introduce a new story each week.

Acolyte Program

Acolytes are members of the congregation who assist the priest with worship. Anyone who is eight years or older is eligible to become an acolyte.

Sunday Morning Fellowship

The youth ministry program serves youth in grades 6-12 by participating in Sunday morning fellowship on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month at 10am during the school year.

Adventures and Service Projects

Monthly during the school year we have an adventure or participate in service projects in the surrounding community.

Retreats and Mission Trip

The youth also participate in two diocesan retreats called "Quest" and are offered a yearly mission trip experience.
