The Episcopal Church Welcomes You on Wednesdays January 16 – February 20 from 6:30-8:30pm. The series will explore topics such as church history, spirituality, how we read the Bible, engagement with culture and society, and church organization. We will use Your Faith, Your Life: An Invitation to the Episcopal Church (Revised 2017) by Jennifer Gamber as our guide. We’ll visit the cave where Mary Magdalene is said to have lived for the last 30 years of her life, the basilica that houses her relics, the Mediterranean beach where her boat is said to have landed, and a variety of other places with cultural and religious significance dating back as far as 36,000 years. Lunch will be provided. Please RSVP.

St. Benedict’s Health and Healing Ministry provides health screenings and medical care at 11 clinics a month (in Boulder, Longmont, and Louisville) for people who are uninsured or underinsured.  Our annual fundraiser is coming up on March 3 and tickets will be available for purchase on Sundays through February 15. If one is not able to attend the fundraiser, one could make a tax deductible donation to St Benedict’s in any amount.  If you have any questions about this ministry contact Mike Houlik. Thank you.
A New Book for the St. Mary Magdalene Book Club

Marge and Ed Szoke are hosting the SMM Book Club at 7:15pm on Friday, February 8, to discuss Less by Andrew Sean Greer.  The book won this year’s Pulitzer prize for fiction!  A novel about a middle-aged novelist, this is the story of “the crazy quilt of a writer’s life: warm enough, though it never quite covers the toes.”  Read a review from The Guardian here.
