Update on the Visioning and Discernment Process
The Vision Committee has complied a summary of input that was received at our Visioning session on July 22.  It is available for review and comment.
Members of the Committee (Jim Watkins, Paul Chyc, Jane Rogers, Debbie Buckman, and Robin Guilford) will be available after services the next two weeks if you have comments, suggestions, or concerns.  You may also send comments directly to Jim Watkins, if you prefer.
Once completed, the Vision Statement will be incorporated into an updated Parish Profile, which will be presented to the Vestry on September 11th. This will initiate the period of mutual discernment regarding Fr Bruce’s potential call to become Rector of St Mary Magdalene. The Vestry and Fr Bruce expect to make a decision on this no later than October 9th.
On behalf of our entire congregation, thank you for participating in this important process!

As We Gather at Your Table
This Sunday we will be singing a hymn new to the congregation, As We Gather at Your Table.  Please take a few moments to familiarize yourself with song by clicking here.  We look forward to our voices joining together in praise to our God this weekend.
Second Sunday Women’s Gathering
Women of the parish, please join us at 10:30 AM on Sunday August 12 in the library as we gather for Spiritual inspiration and physical nourishment.  Feel free to bring some food to share but come either way! If you have questions please reach out to Roxanne Bamond.
Sign Up for Fall Supper Clubs

Sign ups for our fall dinner groups will begin on Sunday, July 22nd and continue through August 12th. Small groups of 6-8 will meet 3 or 4 times this fall for a simple meal and fellowship, in homes or restaurants. These gatherings are strictly social and are a great way to get to know other members better. For both new and longtime members! Look for the sign up sheet at the back of the sanctuary or contact Kim Freymiller or Carmel Hill for more information.

Calling for Godly Play Instructors!

St. Benedict’s Seeks Volunteers
St. Benedict Health and Healing Ministry thanks St. Mary Magdalene Episcopal Church for its ongoing financial and in-kind support of our ministry!  Our free clinics and other programming operate at seven sites, providing basic health care screening, doctor and nurse consultations, education and referrals.  This health care “safety net” helps enable the uninsured and underinsured to find the ongoing care they need.
Volunteer health care professionals are always needed to staff clinics in Boulder, Longmont and Lafayette.  In addition, we use non-clinical volunteers to distribute medicine in shelters, serve on our Board of Directors or a committee, plan our annual fundraising event, and more.  If potentially interested in finding your role, please visit our website at or contact Bill Goodwin.  Thank you.
Buy Grocery Cards to Support St. Mary Magdalene
Did you know that you can support the ministry of St. Mary Magdalene by purchasing reloadable cards for stores such as King Sooper’s?  SMM will receive 5% cash back for all purchases made on these cards.  For example, in the second quarter of 2018 the church received $1,289.14 in proceeds from card use.  It is an easy and fantastic way to support our church community.  Contact Colleen Brolin to purchase cards or to learn more.
