During the Epiphany season the Gospels tell us how Jesus began his ministry by calling disciples. Once he sets his sights on someone, he often says little more than, “Follow me!” And they just do. They drop their nets, or whatever the tools of their trade might be, and walk away with him. Their lives are transformed in an instant.
A new Sign-Up Board is now located on the wall between the kitchen and the fireplace. Check it out and sign up for providing Altar Flowers or Coffee Hour.

Please join us for a night of great food, music and a silent auction! The 12th annual St. Benedict Benefit will be held at 5:50pm on Saturday, February 24, at the Avalon Ballroom (6185 Arapahoe in Boulder). This event is always delightful and the proceeds benefit a very important ministry that provides healthcare to the homeless and working poor of Boulder County. St. Benedict Silent Auction: Donations Needed!
St. Benedict Health and Healing Ministry is seeking your generous auction donations for our crucial annual St. Benedict Benefit fundraiser on February 24, 2018. Perhaps you could donate a weekend at a vacation home, tickets to a sports or theatre event, jewelry or a beautiful piece of art. These are just a few ideas. Please contact Beth Kimberly (silent auction co-coordinator) at St. Benedict to discuss any potential donations with us. Many thanks for your consideration; we depend on your help! For more information about St. Benedict’s work please visit www.sbhhm.org. Thank you!
Join a Supper Club
Supper Clubs at St. Mary Magdalene are in full swing and growing! These get-togethers occur once monthly from now until Spring. A group of 6-8 people gathers for a meal and good conversation, which is a great way of getting to know fellow parishoners. If you would like to begin attending a Supper Club group, please contact Carmel Hill or Kim Freymiller.
Sign Up for Coffee Hour!
Please consider providing Coffee Hour treats following the 10:00 service. Instructions and assistance are available for making coffee and setting up. If no one has signed up for a given Sunday on the volunteer sheet posted near the fireplace, coffee may be made, but no munchies will be furnished. Committing to this ministry just once a year will keep us in refreshments every Sunday! We appreciate your generosity. Questions? See Patti Guilford or Jane Rogers, Kitchen Co-Managers.
Bake Communion Bread!
Would you like to bake communion bread? The recipe is simple – making and baking takes about a half hour on Friday evening or early Saturday morning. Deliver the bread to the church before 10:00 am Saturday. It is nice too if you present it at the offertory on Sunday morning, but not necessary. This is a wonderful expression of service and care for your church family! Find the recipe here! Contact Janet Poley to volunteer.
