New St. Mary Magdalene Photo Directory!

Exciting news!  St. Mary Magdalene has partnered with Lifetouch photography to create a beautiful, color photo church directory.  Lifetouch works with churches to provide low cost, professional directories.  They are able to do this by offering photo packages for purchase to participants.  No purchase is necessary but St. Mary Magdalene will receive 5% cash back for every photo package purchased. Directories will be provided with a suggested donation of $5 per copy to help offset costs to the church.  Whether you plan to purchase a package or not, please sign up to to have your picture taken during one of the scheduled sessions so that a photo of you and/or your family will appear in this year’s directory.  Each photo session will take approximately 30 minutes.  More >

SMM Book Club

Church Property Work Day 
Please join us for a church property workday from 8am-12pm on Saturday June 24.  There will be work for all ages and abilities from washing windows inside and out to pulling weeds, and other maintenance items.  Come for all or part of the day. Whatever time you can give will be most helpful. Contact Bill Ellis to sign up or for more information.
Haiti Family BBQ Fun Day and Fundraiser
Stay after the 9am service on June 25 to support our families at St. Paul’s in Petit Trou and raise scholarships for our class at the school.  Enjoy BBQ, games, and a Haitian Market.  All donations directly benefit the Colorado Haiti Project.  Contact Mark Christie.  Flyer >
Vacation Bible School 
Calling all children pre-K to 5th grade for “Maker Fun Factory: Created by God Built for Purpose” VBS program with Saint Mary Magdalene and Shepherd of the Hills. Together we will look for God’s creativity in the world around us.   VBS will run July 19-21 from 9am to 12:30pm. Register your children here! Introduction to Centering Prayer  
June 24 at St. John’s Boulder from 8:30am to noon. Learn more about this simple, receptive prayer method, or to deepen an existing meditation practice. All spiritual traditions are welcomed. The event will meet in the main floor library at St. John’s Episcopal at 1419 Pine Street Boulder, CO. $10 or less donation to cover costs are appreciated but not necessary.  Event Flyer (with contact information) >
Bake Communion Bread!
We need some more bread bakers!  We need bread for each week in July, August and September. The recipe is simple – making and baking takes about a half hour on Friday evening or early Saturday morning.  Deliver the bread to the church before 10:00 am Saturday.  It is nice too if you present it at the offertory on Sunday Morning, but not necessary.  This is a wonderful expression of service and care for your church family!  Find the recipe here!  Contact Janet Poley to volunteer.
